We would like to inform you of a new governmental regulation that will be coming into effect very soon. Starting in February of 2010, the local Bitung Government will be collecting a 50,000 Rupiah permit from all hotel guests in the Lembeh/Bitung area. This money will be going toward building new tourism infrastructure in the city of Bitung for tourists to use. This will include building a new dock for guest pickup and the creation of signs and posters about the marine life and guidelines when diving in Lembeh Strait. This will also be pledged toward more garbage cleanups and other environmental projects. This permit system will require a 50,000 Rupiah (around US $5) payment on the day of check in at all resorts in Lembeh including NAD. This 50,000 Rupiah will be payable one time per visit and will be valid for your entire stay in the Lembeh Strait. |

Nad is embracing new methods to keep in touch with our guests, and with much head scratching has just about figured out how to use twitter :)

New Computer Room Finished!! |
|
Our New Camera Computer room has been completed. It was originally intended to be a wet camera room, but we made it so nice and cozy that it is now a dry camera/computer room that is perfect for editing some photos and checking over the fish ID books. It has two desktop editing stations featuring Windows Xp and Vista, they are both hooked up to our complementary internet service for our guests. A great place to keep your laptop, cameras and battery chargers as it is climate controlled and has many electrical outlets. The outdoor section of the camera room will be completed shortly and will have lots of space for your camera rigs and dry boxes. Exciting times here at NAD Lembeh Resort in North Sulawesi.
