PADI Open Water Students in the Lembeh Straits

Our Superstar Indonesian Instructor, Nan, has started the new year by helping us move towards the future...

We're not so busy at the moment so we have started training some of our staff their PADI Open Water Courses. The Course is being taught in a mix of Indonesian and English, and will be followed up by English language courses to boost the staff's abilities to communicate with the guests.  Hopefully within 6 months or so  some of these staff will be ready to look after our guests in the water.

The Lembeh Straits are a very good location to learn to dive and gain experience as there are many sites with sandy bottoms - which are ideal for practising technique and exercises, our housereef has both sandy areas and corals - so as the course progresses they are sure to find some cool critters on the reef.

Here are some photos of the boys and girls getting ready for confined water 1, being assisted by some of our other guides.

On our housereef the students found many tasty looking fish...  Our Barramundi Cod had better watch out!
