For the fifth time already we’ve been hosting the Underwater Tribe from Bali with photo instructors Mike Veitch, Luca Vaime and Doug Sloss. The number of workshop participants was limited to 16 spaces to ensure everyone gets enough personal time with the instructors. All levels of underwater photographers were welcome and it was incredible to see how each and every one of them improved within only 7 days!
The Photo Fun Week with the Underwater Tribe started with a welcome and presentation about the Lembeh Strait including photographic tips by senior photo pro Simon. He’s been happy to share his extensive experience which he had gained working and living in Lembeh for the past 10 years!
What a perfect opportunity for the opening of our brand new bar as well: we are now serving a whole selection of wines and cocktails, bar snacks will be on the menu soon. We have space for more than 40 people and high-tech projector equipment as well as several TVs – perfect for presentations and workshops like Underwater Tribe’s.
Time flies when you’re having a good time and so the Photo Fun Week with the Underwater Tribe was over in a heart beat. After a week of diving with one to one tutoring by the instructors, presentations as well as individual feedback and editing in Lightroom/ Photoshop, it’s time for our last night’s celebration.
We’ve set up a barbeque on our spacious dock where everyone could enjoy NAD chef Tommy’s exquisite cuisine. After some socializing we were all curious to see the results of the Photo Fun Week with the Underwater Tribe: all participants handed their best 10 pictures each and it was fun to see so many happy faces and hearing all those “aaaah”s, “oooooh”s and “wooooow”s during the last slide show.
