Lembeh Strait is widely known as the muck diving capital of the world, and due to its protective nature, diving is done all year round.

Muck is the name given to the black sand and ash bottom that’s found mostly on the western side of Lembeh strait. This muck is very high in nutrition which is one of the many reasons that give way to such a biodiversity found here in North Sulawesi. Unique and rare critters are always to be found around every corner.

Those who might not be keen on muck diving have nothing to fear, as Lembeh has a lot more to offer. From wall diving to slopes, pinnacles and wrecks, you can be assured of fine coral gardens on the East of Lembeh Island and a great diving experience in Bangka Island. With more than 40 diverse dive sites, Lembeh makes it perfect for all levels of divers and experiences.
