Just to begin with: Unfortunately today we could not manage to find another Hairy Octopus – so the record stays on four individuals on four consecutive days. Nevertheless we did manage to find something else instead: On our second morning dive we stumbled over this beautiful Rhinopias sitting in a rubble-softcoral patch. It is a relatively big adult and proves that – after some years – the Rhinos are back to Lembeh. This is already the fourth individual seen by NAD-Lembeh staff this year. The picture is unfortunately taken with a 100mm lens on a cropped sensor camera … we will go back an shoot it with a suiting lens soon 😉
