We’ve been a little quiet for a few days and here’s why:

Clown Amenonefish and our new wreck

This is the 7th wreck we have sunk on our housereef as well as concrete structures and some metal frames.  Most is colonising well and we have some quite good sized corals growing on them.  The reason for putting this latest wreck so shallow is that nearby we have some staghorn beds that are overflowing with Cardinal and Glassfish – we’re hoping they will colonise the old wreck with their next egg release in the next week or so.

The housereef also has quite a population of Shrimp Gobies, and then other larger species of fish that you do not commonly sea in Lembeh:  Snappers, Seabreams and Groupers can all be found.

Out on the ‘real’ divesites we have had a lot of luck with Hairy Octopus in the last 7 days as well as some unusual Nudibranchs.  If you’re not here you’re missing out!
