[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We’ve had the honor to welcome Tommy Schultz, writer and photographer for the Garuda inflight magazine “Colours” at NAD. As a result, he has put together a great article about diving in Lembeh and with one of the most experienced dive guides for the March 2018 issue. Paulus started his dive career almost 30 years ago with muck diving pioneer Larry Smith and we’re proud to call him the Supervisor of our dive team.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”8263″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In his 5 pages long article accompanied by some beautiful underwater images which Tommy shot himself, he talks about the huge diversity of critters we can find on a single dive in Lembeh. The 2,000 photos taken in only 3 days are the perfect proof that diving in the Strait is unlike any other dive spot in this world.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”8262″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Whereas usually you don’t know what to expect from a dive, diving in Lembeh can be compared to bird watching on land. Divers and renown underwater photographers visit the “muck dive capital of the world” to target certain species at a particular dive site. This is also what attracts film crews to capture some incredibly exciting sequences for BBC’s “The Blue Planet” and Disney’s newest movie “Dolphins”.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It is not surprising at all that year after year, the same “weird and wonderful fans” visit NAD and dive the Lembeh Strait again. Thanks to highly experienced dive guides like Paulus, underwater photographers are able to capture some of the most elusive critter and even find new species which haven’t even been identified yet. Needless to say that some of the best dive guides in whole Indonesia usually come from Lembeh![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A big thank you goes to Garuda Indonesia for hosting our story and of course editor Tommy Schultz (please find more of his amazing work under http://www.tommyschultz.com) and our dive guide Paulus.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”8269″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”8268″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
