JUNE HIGHLIGHTS MOVIE

This month still had lots of cephalopods ready for us. Mainly Coconut, Mimic and Mototi Octopus as well as Flamboyant Cuttlefish got spotted on the dives. I’ve been shooting more video than stills this month. Therefore, here comes a short movie with our June highlights:[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/2sDltHiDdJI” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

WATER TEMPERATURE DROPS, DIVING STAYS HOT

The water temperature has dropped to occasionally 23 degrees Celsius. However, the diving stays “hot” with lots of pretty and more unusual nudibranch species like Stiliger, Doto or Fishnet Hypselodoris. The cooler water should also restart the reproduction cycle so that we should get the greatest density in the following months.

SHRIMPS, CRABS & LOBSTERS

Different species of Crustaceans can be spotted all year round. Tiger Shrimps are always one of my favorites and so are Cryptic Sponge Shrimps, if they would only be easier to photograph! What we started calling the “Chocolate Shrimp” is an unidentified species of Anemone Shrimp. Best place to see them when diving in Lembeh is at “Nudi Falls”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8759″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8751″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8761″ img_size=”large” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

FROGGIES EVERYWHERE

There has been a whole lot of juvenile Warty and Painted Frogfish around. Some of them were smaller than the nail of my pinky finger! And of course, we also have one of the signature critters of Lembeh, the Hairy Frogfish on a few of the dive sites. Several Giant Frogfish have been spotted for the last few months and they are the true masters of camouflage![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8755″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8753″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8754″ img_size=”large” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”8758″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”8748″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Why Dive with NAD-Lembeh Resort?”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
