[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Since the conditions at the dive sites in the North of Lembeh are perfect at the moment, I have been focusing mainly on wide angle photography. Sites like Yiko Yansi, Dante’s Wall, California Dreaming, Angel’s Windows and Pulau Putus offer some fantastic wall, coral reef and cavern dives! Although diving in Lembeh is dominated by finding small critters and creatures, they can also be found on sites where both wide angle and macro subjects are present.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8315″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]One of my favorite sites out of the list of wide angle spots is Angel’s Windows: the massive rock with several swim-throughs is what has given the site its name. Entering at around 26m depth, you can then swim through several big openings or “windows”. The entire pinnacle is covered in beautiful sponges, soft corals and sea fans where you can spot Bargibanti as well as Denise’ Pygmy Seahorses on a regular basis.

On top of this massive rock, we’ve spotted Giant Frogfish, perfectly blending in with the surrounding sponges.

The cabbage corals kept me busy for some time, trying to shoot them with slow shutter speed to get some motion trails.
So if you get the chance to dive these magnificent sites (which is only possible when the sea is flat and calm, no wind  and waves from the North), you can either stick to your macro setup or try for some wide angle shots – the opportunities are endless.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8227″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8226″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8225″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjufb–viRk” title=”Wide Angle Wednesday”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
