NAD was set up back in 2006 and we still have some staff from that period working for us!
In 2010 Simon and Zee took a gamble and bought the resort which Simon had managed for the previous 2 years. A few broke years later we came out of the smoke with a renovated resort with all new infrastructure and quite a good reputation.
Zee will likely be your first point of contact when booking a stay at NAD-Lembeh, as she manages the bookings and finances of the business. Her background is HR within the Oil and Gas Industry, but at NAD she is the driving force behind getting things moving in the resort and keeping the guests (and staff) happy.
Simon’s background is mainly photographic in nature – his work has been published in ScubaDiver, ScubaDiver Australasia, Asian Geographic, Alert Diver, Sport Diver, various news publications, and for WWF, NHK Japan, LG, BBC and Netflix in the moving picture realm.

We hope you can visit our resort and get the best pictures possible with the least environmental impact possible. We don’t encourage our guides to manipulate the wildlife and have internal protocols for what should and should not be happening with various subjects. This should mean you should be able to get guilt free and still good images before you go home. We also hope that you find our staff sincere and honest – we don’t force them to bow to our guests and encourage them to have fun with the people they host. Our Environmental Impact is something we are working on, if you have suggestions for things we could do please let us know.
